The lads arrived at 3pm and ran onto the field in poor weather conditions. The driving rain may have kept some on-lookers away, but didn't dampen their enthusiasm. After training they were watered and fed by Bryan.
It has to be said, their management left the club, impressed by our facilities and particularly by the hospitality.
Hazel did an excellent job,as usual cleaning the changing rooms and I think she will be pleased to note how clean the Irish lads had left them. Not a bad feat in such poor conditions.
There was quite a lot of merriment at the expense of the boys. They arrived in a bus hired from Wales, that had its livery embossed with a huge Welsh Dragon. To top it all,one of our resident Scots,Peter Riddle was given a couple of Irish training tops. I didn't have the heart to ask if there was anything spare for the English organiser from an English club :)
All good fun and great to deal with a team of absolute gentlemen.
